Happily Ever Author Week

This 5-day event will tackle mindset, writing skills and book marketing. Our team of professionals will help you take a holistic approach to your writing career.

You became an author because…

You wanted to make an impact

You had something to say

You’ve been dreaming about it since you were a kid

BUT DANG...It's a ton of hard work.

 ✅ Writing

✅ Getting yourself out there

✅ Building an audience

✅ Selling books

All of this work takes mental energy and a constantly evolving skillset. No wonder writers have a reputation for drinking. 🥴

But, at Pages & Platforms, we don’t buy into the long-suffering author trope.

We know it’s possible to build your author career and be emotionally healthy. So we’ve put together a very special week of events that will help you address every major aspect of your writing life:

Day 2

Thought Work for Writers

Everyone has heard that the key to being a successful writer is persistence. Very few realize the key to persistence is THE STORY YOU TELL YOURSELF.

Learn how to deprogram sabotaging thoughts about your career and restock your thoughts in a way that will help you sustain your efforts until you achieve your goals.

Day 3

foundations of book marketing

One of the toughest parts of being an author is tackling your own marketing. Too often, writers rely on tactics without having an underlying strategy.

In this session, we’ll help you understand the foundation of every good book marketing plan. You'll learn:

  • Why marketing your book using a slapdash playbook of tactics from the internet is likely to fail.

  • Your number one book marketing goal.

  • The foundational marketing strategy that will actually grow your audience.

Day 4

Get Your Story Unstuck

SPECIAL DOUBLE SESSION!

Is your novel or memoir stalled out and you don’t know how to get it going again? In this masterclass you’ll learn:

  • The 7 essential story types and how to use them to get your story unstuck.

  • How story types will determine your book’s structure.

  • How to use story types to evaluate and edit your draft.

  • And more!

Come early for a story type clinic where hosts Anne and Rachelle will help participants find their story type. Today’s session will run for two hours in total.

Day 5

Get Your Questions Answered

Got questions about your manuscript, your mindset or your book marketing? Our team will answer them all in this session. It will feel so good having clear next steps for your career!
