Why group coaching?
One-to-one book marketing coaching is often cost prohibitive for any writer who doesn’t already have a big fat book deal. But it’s hard to get a big fat book deal (or get people to buy your self-published book) without a decent platform.
Group coaching makes getting your marketing act together affordable.
Plus, it gives you built-in accountability and lets you join a small cohort of writers who are facing the same challenges.

7 Group coaching sessions
Each session will tackle an aspect of outreach and give you homework so you can start growing your audience immediately. There will also be ample time for Q&A time so you can get your specific questions answered. All sessions are held via video conference and recorded for your later reference.
1 one-on-one session
Working in a group is very invigorating, but you also have your unique career to think of. You’ll get a virtual one-on-one session with me, Sue Campbell, to talk specifically about you and your career so you can customize your outreach plan.
slack channel + resources
Post your homework and join the group’s Slack channel for more ways with your fellow writers so you can help each other along. I’ll check in on throughout the week to provide feedback and guidance. You’ll also get some special bonus resources to help your writing and your marketing.

About your coach
I’m Sue Campbell, a certified book launch coach through Tim Grahl’s BookLaunch.com. My approach evidence-based approach to book marketing gets authors truly excited and happy about the process of selling books and becomes a part of your creative process.
I’ve worked with both fiction and nonfiction writers including Kevin Sands, author of The Blackthorn Key Adventure Series, and KJ Dell’Antonia, author of How to be a Happier Parent.
I’m also a novelist, freelance writer, and content marketer with ten years of experience in the writing trenches. My work has been published with many outlets, including Prevention, Good Housekeeping and Mamalode and used by many companies such as American Express, SAIF Corporation and The eLearning Company.
To make sure we can really focus on growing your audience through outreach, you need to have the following in place prior to the start of the coaching program:
A professional looking author website.
A functioning email sign-up process. Meaning you already have an email service provider such as Mailchimp or Convert Kit and sign-up forms on your website including something you give to readers in exchange for their email address (i.e. a reader magnet, or sign-up bonus). You do not need to have any subscribers! You just need to have a way to get them all set up and ready to go.

What to Expect
Once you sign up, you’ll receive a welcome email from me that invites you to tell me about your career and your marketing efforts so far — all writers are welcome — whether you’re a newbie or someone who’s already published multiple books. You’ll also get a link to book your one-to-one session with me and calendar invitations to all of our weekly calls.
On or before October 12, you’ll get access to a community Slack channel where you can introduce yourself to the cohort.
We’ll have our first group call via Zoom on October 12 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific daylight time (click here to convert to your time zone). Then we’ll meet weekly through November 23. (Meeting dates: Oct. 12, Oct. 19, Oct. 26, Nov. 2, Nov. 9, Nov. 16, Nov. 23.)
At each meeting, you’ll get some homework that will help you build your platform and marketing strategy. Post your homework on the Slack channel. I’ll check-in at least twice a week to review homework and answer questions that have come up.
Provide helpful feedback to your cohort (and get some in return!) via the Slack channel. One of the wonders of group coaching is tapping into hive mind!
