Have Questions About Our Group Coaching Program?

We’re so excited about our new group coaching program for building your author platform which starts Saturday, January 12, 2019! It’s a chance for authors to get direct, sound advice about how to grow their careers and sell more books — and the chance to connect with other writers at all stages of the journey. Registration closes Friday, January 11 or when all eight slots are full, whichever comes first.

Here we’re answering some of the most common questions we’ve had about the program. Hopefully, this will help you figure out if this group coaching experience for author marketing is right for you.

When does the content start?

When you register, you’ll get a welcome email within a few hours that offers some bonus material you can dive into right away. There’s a free copy of the book Your First 1000 Copies by Tim Grahl and a questionnaire about your writing career that will help us guide your platform building efforts.

The first live group coaching call will be at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time on Saturday, January 12.

What’s the time commitment?

We’ll have a 1-hour Zoom call every Saturday through the end of February, but in addition to that, you should expect to spend about 2-3 hours per week working through the homework we give out on the call. The amount of time you devote to your marketing will directly impact the quality of your results, but we give you a strategy that will make the best use of your time.

What are the times of the live calls and how do I access them?

Every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Pacific time from January 12 through February 23. We will use an app called Zoom for the conference calls. You will receive invitations for each meeting with Zoom access details. You will also get a 1-hour private coaching session that you can schedule at your convenience.

I subscribe to your newsletter but haven’t used my free 45-minute consultation call. Can I use that in addition to this program?

Absolutely. You can add that 45-minute consultation to your 1-hour private coaching to augment this program.

What if I can’t make all the calls?

All the calls will be recorded and you will be given access to watch at your convenience. However, we highly encourage live participation to get the most out of the program.

What’s Slack and how will we use it?

Slack is a cloud-based application you can access through your computer or smart phone that allows multiple people to collaborate by exchanging messages and sharing files. You will be given free access to a special Slack channel where you can post your homework, access resources, and interact with your coach, and other students, .

Are you going to offer this again?

Group coaching will probably be offered again in the future, but the next cohort has not been scheduled yet.

What’s the cost?

The total cost is $750. You have the option to make one payment, or split the total into 3 payments of $250. To help you commit to this important work of growing your career, no refunds are offered.

How much would it cost to just get one-on-one coaching for the same number of hours?

For a comparison, if you purchased 8 hours of one-on-coaching the cost would be $2000. That does not include that extra interaction via the Slack channel. One-on-one coaching costs $250 per hour.

Do you follow the same model as Tim Grahl of BookLaunch.com?

Yes! We use the same techniques that Tim developed. We'll be using Tim's Connection System to build an audience for you, rather than focusing on an actual book launch. We'll be right there with you to answer questions and brainstorm things that will work for your unique career. However, this course doesn’t have the extensive video library that Tim's courses have. Also different is that we have a few coaching methods of our own that are designed to help people figure out what will work for them -- it's not one-size-fits-all coaching.

Hope that’s helpful! If you’re ready to sign up you can do so here.

If you have a question that wasn’t answered here, please reach out.

Hope to see you inside!
