introducing a container for adhd writers by an adhd writer and editor…

the adhd writers’ accelerator

a group and 1:1 coaching program to take your manuscript to the next step

  • Are you a writer with ADHD, struggling to get focused, maybe wishing you could just sit and bang out a novel like a so-called “real” writer?

  • Are you full of ideas and energy to start writing a story but get disheartened or bored and quit writing to chase a new shiny story idea?

  • Are you a writer with ADHD who feels overwhelmed, disorganized, or unmotivated?

  • Have you read and tried “expert” writing advice only to end up growing in frustration, shame, and even fear as significant writing obstacles stack against minor successes?

Yeah, it can be tough writing with ADHD, especially when we try so hard, and none of the expert writing advice seems to help.

You want to know how to move from frustration with writing to focusing on your writing to finishing your book.

So, ADHD writers, let’s look at what you could achieve…

From Frustrated to Focused to Finished

If you choose to join the 9-week ADHD Writers Accelerator course and coaching, you will:

  • Build your writing toolbox, practice using the tools, and evaluate them for their effectiveness so that, soon enough, you can utilize those tools without even thinking about it.

  • Get unstuck and back on track with your writing project.

  • Never again languish for extended periods in indecision, feeling overwhelmed, distracted, or lacking productivity in your writing life.

  • Discard frustration, get focused, and finish that damn book.

Sure, those are big promises.

So, let’s take an overview of the course model and how we’re going to deliver:

What Writers Are Saying

"The narrative we tell ourselves is a critical piece of the writing life puzzle. Prior to taking ADHD Writers Accelerator, I made decisions about my manuscript according to a pattern of behavior that held me back from making my best work. Sue and Rachelle helped me to identify these challenges and to begin anew. I am grateful to the Pages + Platforms team for providing such transformative instruction."

 — Rachel Gabriel, M.F.A., novelist and creativity coach

"Each morning, I wake up with a sense of excitement to write. I am confident that I would not be in this position without the invaluable support of this program. It provided me with the necessary mindset and practical tools to rekindle my passion for writing."

I highly recommend the ADHD Writers Accelerator program. Prior to enrolling in the program, I was experiencing mental struggles with my writing. I felt lost and lacked the motivation to return to my writing. I needed a catalyst. The course provides tools for both writing techniques and mindset techniques, giving you the necessary tools to rekindle your passion for writing.

One of the key takeaways from the program was learning to avoid self-blame for being stuck. I discovered practical tools that I could apply to both writing practice and daily life, enabling me to allocate time for writing and enhance my writing skills. The weekly meetings with the coaches were a valuable support system, helping me stay on track.

During the course, I began writing my current work in progress and completed it approximately one month after the program concluded. I dedicated several months over the summer to editing this book into two separate books. I conceived an idea for a thirteen-book series based on this book.

Since the completion of the program, I have written three first drafts. I have completed the editing of one of these drafts. I have also developed a brand new series and outlined all four books within that series.

I am now prepared to submit my books to an editor.

Each morning, I wake up with a sense of excitement to write. I am confident that I would not be in this position without the invaluable support of this program. It provided me with the necessary mindset and practical tools to rekindle my passion for writing.
